چکیده
There is limited evidence comparing the effects of manual and instrumented-assisted manipulations among adults with neck pain. Our purpose was to determine a multisession regime instrument-assisted cervical manipulation on pain, disability, perception change, muscle properties in subjects nonspecific We conducted double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled study 32 Two groups received three sessions (C3/C4) manipulation, one group other instrument-assisted, third sham fourth served as control. Self-reported pressure pain thresholds, patient (tonus, stiffness, elasticity) upper trapezius biceps brachii were assessed at baseline, immediately after first session 15 days end intervention. After intervention, percentage changes visual analogue scale score, Neck Disability Index, Patient Global Perception Change score significantly higher comparison (p < 0.05). No between-group differences observed tonus, elasticity four muscles concluded that C3/C4 improved disability

Effectiveness of exercise therapy in reducing pain and disability in athletes with chronic nonspecific neck pain
Aims and background: Chronic neck pain is a common problem and is often associated with changes in sensory-motor functions such as decreased neck proprioception, altered neck muscle coordination, and increased postural fluctuations. The aim of this study was the effectiveness of exercise therapy in improving chronic non-specific neck pain in athletes in Khorramabad. Methods and Materials: The ...

متن کاملThe effect of kinesio taping on pain, strength and disability of neck in myofascial pain syndrome: a randomized clinical trial
Background: Tenderness, pain, muscle weakness, and limited range of motion (ROM) are symptoms of myofascial pain syndrome, which leads to restrictions on physical, occupational and social activities and ultimately reduction of productivity and quality of life. Different methods of rehabilitation are used to improve the symptoms of these patients. One of the new methods is the use of kinesio tap...
متن کاملThoracic spine thrust manipulation versus cervical spine thrust manipulation in patients with acute neck pain: a randomized clinical trial.
STUDY DESIGN Randomized clinical trial. OBJECTIVE To determine if patients who met the clinical prediction rule (CPR) criteria for the success of thoracic spine thrust joint manipulation (TJM) for the treatment of neck pain would have a different outcome if they were treated with a cervical spine TJM. BACKGROUND A CPR had been proposed to identify patients with neck pain who would likely re...
متن کاملSmall Ball Exercise Program for Patients With Chronic Nonspecific Low Back Pain: A Randomized Clinical Trial
Purpose: Low back pain (LBP) is one of the main causes of disability in adults. Approximately 80% of LBPs lead to chronic nonspecific low back pain (CNSLBP). Damages to back region may be due to weak musculoskeletal structure, impaired muscle or joint flexibility, changes in muscle tone, and reduced strength and endurance. A set of exercises by small ball was designed by the corresponding and f...
